SATURDAY, 26 August, was a remarkable day for Green Street Bloodstock.

It was the first day we enjoyed a double at a single track with League Game and Master’s Spirit winning at Kenilworth. Both were ridden by Richard Fourie.

The double brought our winners for the month to five, the best month we’ve had so far – and boosted our overall tally to 34 winners.

Happy connections of Master's Spirit.

In saddling Master’s Spirit, trainer Justin Snaith prepared a fourth straight win for GSB following recent successes by Midtown Manhattan and Ma Forte (twice).

Justin Vermaak commented: “Our thanks to the Snaith stable, a professional outfit doing a great job. Master’s Spirit arrived at their yard with problems, he’s a chronically unsound horse, but Chris Snaith has been riding him on the beach and the sea water must have done wonders, he is sounder than he’s ever been.

“He won a good race after a slow start, arguably easier than the margin shows. He looked a picture going down and can win again.”

Horse Chestnut’s son League Game won his Maiden at only his third attempt, going away easily over 1600m and there will undoubtedly be more to come from this R110,000 CTS R2R purchase.
