Sparkeling Fire, good debut.

GSB’s four young horses entered for Saturday’s Kenilworth meeting all ran good races, three of the four earning stake cheques.

Sparkeling Fire (14-1), ran on nicely for fourth on her 1200m debut and trainer Joey Ramsden commented: “Our ugly duckling come beautiful swan! The best it yet to come!”

Director’s Rock (5th) and Mr Green Street (6th), both showed good improvement in their respective second starts, both finishing well within four lengths of the winner, keeping on late.

Ernesto was outpaced in his 1200m event, as expected, but he got going well late to get third behind Russet Air. He will enjoy more ground as noted in Justin Vermaak’s preview.

They can all be watched in their next few runs.
