GREEN Street Bloodstock’s Risky Rockefeller, racing in the Charity Stakes over 1400m on Gold Cup Day at Kranji, Singapore, was beaten only 1.60-lengths by the winner Battle Of Troy, in fact just edged out of third place in a run with lots of promise.

Justin Vermaak, who was on course and very proud to see GSB’s black-and-green silks sported for the first time on an overseas racecourse, commented: “This was so close! Risky Rockefeller was caught wide near the rear but made up good ground to get beat 1.6l in 5th! Good to see the colours in action! Winning turn soon”!

Risky Rockefeller has earned $3,800 (almost R40,000) with a sixth and a fifth place in his two starts for his new owners – we hope to see him in the winner’s box soon.
