Risky Rockefeller, draw to beat.

“THESE are exciting times, we are looking forward to Sunday,” said Green Street Bloodstock’s Justin Vermaak ahead of the meeting at Kranji in Singapore, in which Risky Rockefeller will be GSB’s first Singapore and indeed international runner.

Sprinter Risky Rockefeller will take his place in Race 10 over 1200m on turf – a race worth $s80,000 (about ZAR800,000 at current rates) and he is in good shape coming into the contest.

Trainer James Peters sent a voice note to GSB Syndicate members involved in Risky Rockefeller, saying: “He came out of his barrier trial pulling up well and we’re very happy with him. He had an easy piece of work on Wednesday and jockey Corey Brown reported he took it well, Corey takes the ride on Sunday.

“This is a class 3 race and Risky Rockefeller has a nice barrier 5. I won’t be tying Corey down to instructions, all we want is some galloping room in the home straight and for them to hit the line strongly so there will be positive to take from the race. Whatever happens we will learn something we can take forward. I wouldn’t be surprised if he runs a really nice race!”

The race is off at 17:35 (Singapore), that is 11:35 SA time.
