GREEN Street Bloodstock will have a number of runners around the country this weekend and next Monday and Justin Vermaak provided comments for each one.

TURFFONTEIN SATURDAY 14 October

Race 3, 1000m Maiden
Delphine

She’s a small Judpot filly who hasn’t grown much since the sale but she’s shown us some nice work and we expect her to win a few races. She has a bad draw here, will need the experience first time out.

Race 6, 1450m Progress Plate
Sea King

He returns from a rest and has had a grass gallop at Turffontein. He is a quality horse being aimed at the Dingaans via the Graham Beck Stakes, he is out at the weights with runners like Flying Free and Warrior’s Rest and this run will bring him on, fitness-wise.

Race 9, 1200m, FM Handicap
One Dimension

She’s a nice filly coming into a handicap after her Maiden win. She’s working well, has a good draw and we’ll need a big run to get her rating up for the Ready To Run race, she should go well.

Race 10, 1450m, FM Handicap
Kapenta Bay

Coming off a rest after winning her first start in Gauteng. She’s becoming a bit hot at home, we’ve been waiting for softer ground and she will need the run, also needs further. Hoping she comes out of the race incident-free.

GREYVILLE POLYTRACK, SUNDAY 15 October

Race 1, 2000m Maiden Fm
Coral Queen

The form filly in a small field and if she stays the 2000m we’d expect her to win it. Warren Kennedy thinks she will see it out, trainer Gavin van Zyl and I are not convinced but we’re trying her over ground, we may as well. Her brother by Judpot won a stakes race over 1800m. Hopeful.

Race 9, 2000m, Handicap FM
Inga

She ran a cracker nine days ago, she is fit and well and we give her a winning chance in this field.

FAIRVIEW, MONDAY 16 October

Race 7, 1200m, Handicap
Trap Lord

He’s had a mild bout of colic and a niggle or two, hence the break between his races. He has top weight here, but he is a game horse and while he is probably not 100% wound up has a good eachway chance.
