GREEN Street Bloodstock is on a good run of form, with three winners in the last two weeks and well into the 50s now.
Gavin van Zyl-trained Calladdi, in his first run on the Polytrack over 1000m at Greyville on Wednesday, posted a good win under Warren Kennedy, winner #52 up for GSB.
Calladdi (18-1) was first into the straight and looked dangerous before being headed about 200m out, but he fought back and came again, finishing too strong for Big King and Bonnie Dawn.
Justin Vermaak said: “It’s nice to have Calladdi back in form, he has always had plenty of ability and hopefully with the added maturity and racing experience he can add consistency and bag another win or two.
“Well done to my parents who own a share of him!”
Justin said that Calladdi will be aimed next at the KZN Breeders 1200.
Later in the day Inga (10-1) ran a good third over 1800m, earning another cheque for Green Street Bloodstock and partner Dr Katzwinkel.
