EVERYONE knows we at Green Street Bloodstock are big on stallion Bold Silvano – and here’s another of his offspring Airtaxi, who recently joined trainer Johan Janse Van Vuuren at the Vaal.
Airtaxi, a woolly little chap who looks like he’s just woken up from a long dream, was shown to GSB Owners attending our Open Day at the Vaal just recently, he has a nice temperament and enjoyed the attention.
One of the best thing about owning a young horse is seeing how they change rapidly once in full training. In just a few months Airtaxi will have a shiny coat, he’ll be bigger and stronger than he is now and he will start to grow into his frame. He’s got scope, with strong quarters – Justin will snap new photos of him in spring and you’ll notice how he wakes up and starts to look like a racehorse!
Air Taxi, raised at Maine Chance Farms, is well-related. His dam, Angel At My Table, won seven times and was Graded-placed, and the second dam, Flying Florrie, is a three parts sister to former star sprinter Mythical Flight.
Airtaxi’s year-older full brother, Angel Landing, finished second on his 1200m debut at Scottsville Saturday, beaten by the promising Gregorian Chant.
