GREEN Street Bloodstock started the 2017/18 season on a high note with a winner and second place at the Greyville Polytrack on Saturday.
Visionaire’s daughter One Dimension shed her Maiden ticket at her second visit to the racecourse, winning a Maiden Plate over 1400m under Warren Kennedy. Till Dawn ran on late from well off the call and would have won his 1400m start within the next stride or two. Both runners are trained by Johan Janse Van Vuuren.
Justin Vermaak, who has estimated at least a dozen or more winners for GSB before year-end, said: “Well done to the partners in One Dimension, Laurence Wernars and his family and Braam van Huyssteen. She was one of the best gallopers at last year’s CTS Ready To Run Sale and is one of those we bought in partnership with top owners.
A R160,000 buy, Visionare is a young filly with scope and she’s one to watch for further progress. Till Dawn can win next time. “He was just a bit stiff,” Justin said.
