GSB’s two-year-old colt Blow In The Box started 14-10 favourite to win his second start at Kenilworth last Saturday. He finished second in a Maiden Juvenile Plate over 1400m, beaten only half a length.

A R20,000 purchase by Lateral, Blow In The Box has recovered his purchase price after only two runs and with more improvement he could go one better next time.

Justin Vermaak commented: “Inexperience cost him, he was sluggish off the mark and had to be pushed into contention. He only really got going when it was too late, but ran on well making up perhaps 10 lengths over the last 400m, a very nice run!”

Inga (third at Turffontein) and Border Control (third at Kenilworth), also got places for GSB Syndicates on Saturday.
