GREEN Street Bloodstock’s tally of winners is growing steadily – the latest success being Midtown Manhattan, who won her 1200m Maiden at only her second attempt at Durbanville on Saturday.
Midtown Manhattan, trained by Justin Snaith and ridden by Aldo Domeyer, kept up a good pace and drew clear to win by two lengths, signalling that this may only be the start of a good career.
Midtown Manhattan is a three-year-old filly by Grey’s Inn from a mare by Silvano and was bought for just R40,000 at the CTS Two-Year-Sale in 2015.
Justin Vermaak commented: “Midtown Manhattan is looking for 1600m and looks set to win a good few races. It is always nice to supply our owners with a horse of quality that cost only R40,000.”
